Today, the Scopus’s title list is updated to April 2018. In this list, there are 2 journals of Biomedpress, included Biomedical Research and Therapy (ISSN 21984093); and Progress in Stem Cell (ISSN 21994633).
In order to promote scientific and technological publications about biomedicine, the Biomedpress, a publishing department of Stem Cell Institute, VNUHCM University of Science, HCMC, Viet Nam has developed two scientific journals since 2014, including the Biomedical Research and Therapy (www.bmrat.org) to publish scientific and technological studies on biomedicine, biology and medicine; and Progress in Stem Cell (www.cellstemcell.org) publishes the biology and technology of stem cells.
Biomedical Research and Therapy, published 4 years ago, was selected for the Web of Science’s Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in November 2016. The journal has been continuously developing since 2014 with nearly 300 published articles, increasing number of citations. To April 2018, the journal was added to the Scopus’s title list. So far, the journal has been listed on the major databases of Web of Science, Scopus, Embase, CABI, Scilit, Google Scholar …
Progress in Stem Cell was selected for the Embase – the global biomedical database in 2015. In April 2018, the journal was selected for the Scopus.

From 2018, the Biomedpress publishes new journals: Progress in Biology and the Asian Journal of Health Sciences.
Scopus is Elsevier’s abstract and citation database launched in 2004. In 2009, the Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB) was formed to develop an objective system of evaluation and validation of peer-reviewed journals for inclusion or exclusion in Scopus against transparent and fair criteria. Scopus covers nearly 36,377 titles (22,794 active titles and 13,583 Inactive titles) from approximately 11,678 publishers, of which 34,346 are peer-reviewed journals in top-level subject fields Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences and Health Sciences. It covers three types of sources: Book Series, Journals, and Trade Journals. All journals covered in the Scopus database, regardless of who they are published under, are reviewed each year to ensure high-quality standards are maintained. Searches in Scopus also incorporate searches of patent databases.
